In this post I will be starting to focus on Algae and the Cornersteel Project in which I will be writing a paper on. I will be pulling from multiple sources to obtain a better understanding of algae and how it reduces carbon emissions.

- Algae is a promising method to reduce emissions because they have a higher photosynthetic efficiency and biomass yield compared to other plants.
- Using a bioreactor with Algae reduces CO2 emissions without needing a lot of land or a fresh water source which is rarely found in the Philippines
- Algae reduces emissions by converting CO2 into oxygen and biomass.
- Algae can also be produced into biofuels which can replace fossil fuels leading to a safe environment.
- There are many different species of algae which all have different photosynthetic properties, needed environmental conditions, and resilience and growth under certain CO2 concentrations.
Thank you for tuning in and I'll post next month.
